Faye Williams

Faye Williams began her musical studies at the age of six in her native Bristol, where she rapidly distinguished herself as a pianist of great promise in various local concerts and festivals. She was educated at Redland High School for Girls in Bristol, Chethams School of Music in Manchester and the University of York. After graduating in 1997, she went on to pursue postgraduate studies in performance, with special emphasis on French and Latin-American pianism, for which she was awarded a Master of Arts degree in 1998.

Faye has appeared as a concert soloist in York and in recital at the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival. She has participated in a number of master classes, competitions and chamber music courses, notably at Dartinton and Westonbirt summer schools, the latter run by her teacher, Joyce Rathbone.
