Roger Garland

Roger Garland studied the violin with Manoug Parikian. His early career as a member of the English Chamber orchestra and as a principal of the Academy of St Martin in the Fields took him all over the world, appearing as chamber musician and soloist in such prestigious venues as Conservatoire Hall, Budapest, Sydney Opera House and the Carnegie Hall, New York.

He has been a frequent broadcaster in his role as leader of the Park Lane Sextet, the Gagliano Trio and the Guarnerius String Quintet.

Recent solo appearances include performances of Vivaldi’s ‘Four Seasons’ at Petersfield Festival and Mozart’s Violin Concerto K 219 at Chichester Cathedral.
